The Bruins are giving their top prospect an NHL look
The Bruins have made a roster move for Saturday’s head-to-head with the Blue Jackets.

Geoff Burke-Imagn ImagesA 6-2 drubbing at the hands of the Blue Jackets on Friday night has been met with a roster move from Bruins general manager Don Sweeney, with Fabian Lysell officially recalled from AHL Providence.
The decision to give Lysell his first career call-up to the NHL comes after Lysell put up a season-high three points (one goal and two helpers) in Providence's win over Bridgeport on Friday night. The three-point outing continued what's been a solid run of late for Lysell, with two goals and seven points in his last six games overall, and with 17 points in 26 games for the P-Bruins this season.
A first-round pick of the Bruins back in 2021, the right-shooting Lysell has compiled 34 goals and 104 points in 136 games for AHL Providence over the last three seasons.
When Lysell is on his game, he brings noticeable speed and creativity to the offensive end of things, and has even shown signs of being a pain-in-the-ass type who can get under the skin of the opposition. The Bruins got a slight taste of that during Lysell's preseason run, as he drew a penalty and scored a power-play goal in his second game of the preseason, and was a thorn in the Caps' sides in his final showing.
Barring something unforeseen, such as an injury or illness somewhere in Boston's top six, Lysell most likely projects to make his NHL debut on the Black and Gold's third line, which has undoubtedly struggled since the Bruins moved Charlie Coyle from center to right wing on Elias Lindholm's line.
