The Patriots pre-season will be here in a few weeks and I want to get my season prediction out of the way before people begin summer vacations. I think the Patriots will have the worst record in the NFL this upcoming season. Not a hot take considering the team is coming off a 4-13 season, replacing their previous coach of 23 years and potentially their first round draft pick riding the bench to start the season. But it is exactly why I'm betting it to happen on Draftkings sportsbook

Those are just a few of the reasons why I believe they will be picking at the top of the draft next year. There is also the receiving core with Kendrick Bourne off an injury and signing KJ Osborne as a free agent and drafting 2 wide receivers. Damario Douglas, a 6th round pick last season who has upside is what they have while trying to weaponize the offense.

The biggest concern is the offensive line. Michael Onwenu is back and locked up long term. But along the line there weren't many free agent upgrades. Chucks Okorofor comes over from Pittsburgh and they drafted a tackle from Penn St. Maybe they are hoping the multiple picks they used in the previous draft will pay off. I see all of these issues as growing pains and a reason to bet on them being the worst team.

The possitive here is back to back top 5 picks. Something that helped the Celtics win a Championship 8 years later.
