In a recent article about the rumors of Rob “Hardy” Poole moving to the morning show, an inadvertent error occurred as Scott Zolak’s age was misstated, indicating he had turned 67 instead of 56. This innocent mix-up was attributed to a combination of “fat fingers” and what I like to call “partial strokey hand.” (I suffered a stroke in 2022. I made a full recovery but my thumb and index finger still have numbness. Yes -feel bad for me!)

Setting the record straight, Scott Zolak actually turned 56, not 67, providing a much-needed clarification.

To recap, The morning show speculation took an interesting turn when Rob “Hardy” Poole, typically associated with Zolak and Bertrand, filled in during the mornings, sparking rumors of a potential full-time role. Fred Toucher and Kendra Middleton delved into the speculation as reported by the Boston Herald.

Marc Bertrand and the now accurately aged Scott Zolak dissected the Boston Herald article while addressing the possibility of Hardy’s permanent role. Listeners actively participated by sharing their predictions and wishlists for potential replacements.

Zolak expressed his lack of enthusiasm for what he perceived as a “test run.” Comparing the dynamics between Fred and Hardy to ingredients in a salad, Zolak humorously remarked, “It’s like having a salad, and you put vinegar and vinegar on it. You need vinegar and you need oil, you know? A little salt and pepper, a little garlic, a little basil. Bam! You got a salad.”

As the morning show drama unfolds, it’s essential to acknowledge the inadvertent error in Scott Zolak’s age and correct the record. Zolak, at the spry age of 56, continues to bring his unique perspective on Boston sports.

We here on the morning show value integrity and we like to apologize to Scott Zolak for the mix up.

Sorry, Zo - Happy Birthday!
