A lawyer from southeastern Ohio, Jack Blakeslee, has been suspended by the state Supreme Court for a year, with six months stayed. The suspension comes after an incident in 2021 where Blakeslee threw a Pringles can filled with his own poop across a parking lot.
Blakeslee claimed he had a habit of putting waste in Pringles cans and tossing them randomly from his car, insisting he wasn't targeting anyone. However, the court disagreed, stating there was clear evidence that he chose the county's crime-victim advocacy center as his intended location.
During a disciplinary hearing, Blakeslee admitted to enjoying the "look of surprise" on people's faces when they found the feces-filled can. The court found his actions reflected poorly on his fitness to practice law, bringing discredit to the legal profession.
This wasn't Blakeslee's first legal trouble related to the incident; he previously pleaded guilty to disorderly conduct and littering charges.
