Celtics place two more players in NBA’s COVID health & safety protocols
As COVID sweeps through the NBA, the Boston Celtics now have three players in the league’s health and safety protocols.

Brian Fluharty-USA TODAY SportsAs COVID sweeps through the NBA, the Boston Celtics now have three players in the league's health and safety protocols. After adding forward Jabari Parker to the list Thursday night, the team also placed forwards Al Horford and Grant Williams in the protocols Friday morning. For Horford, this is the second time in two months he's been in the COVID protocols.
All three players will be unavailable for Friday night's game against the Golden State Warriors. Golden State is also dealing with a potential COVID situation, with guard Jordan Poole also being placed in the protocols Friday morning.
As of 11 a.m. Friday, there has been no update on the status of Friday night's game. However, the Celtics did cancel their morning shootaround and media availability.
Like most sports leagues, the NBA has seen a rise in positive COVID cases this week. As of Friday morning, there are over 30 players, as well as some coaches, currently in the league's health and safety protocol.
