Patriots and Bills getting healthier heading into Monday matchup
Although both teams have been burdened with injuries through the last few weeks, the Patriots and Bills appear to be near full strength heading into Monday’s meeting in Buffalo. Both teams turned in limited injury reports on Thursday.
The Patriots had just eight players on their first injury report of the week, the fewest since Week 3. All eight are listed as ‘limited.’
Running back Brandon Bolden (knee), wide receiver Gunner Olszewski (ankle), and center David Andrews (shoulder) were all added and after not appearing on the list last week. All three had previously appeared on the injury report earlier this season for different injuries.
Those three players join tackle Trent Brown (calf), defensive lineman Christian Barmore (knee), linebackers Dont’a Hightower (ankle) and Ja’Whaun Bentley (ribs), and kicker Nick Folk (left knee). Running backs Damien Harris and Rhamondre Stevenson, tight ends Hunter Henry and Jonnu Smith and punter Jake Bailey were all removed from the list.
Meanwhile Buffalo has five players listed, including two who missed practice. Wide receiver Cole Beasley (veteran rest) and fullback Reggie Gillam (ankle) were not on the field Thursday. Starting defensive tackle Star Lotulelei (illness) and linebacker matt Milano (shoulder) were limited, while tackle Cody Ford (bicep) was a full participant.
