Red Sox manager Alex Cora revealed this to reporters on Sunday that right-handed pitcher Tanner Houck is being shut down due to flexor muscle soreness in his arm.

However, Cora said that the Red Sox are "not overly concerned" and that Houck's injury will be "short-term" in nature. The Red Sox reassigned Houck to Triple-A Worcester after an extra-inning win over the Rays on April 6. His last appearance came on May 4 against the Buffalo Bisons.

The Red Sox won their fourth game in a row on Sunday, topping the Baltimore Orioles 4-3. They'll go for their fifth straight and a four-game sweep over Baltimore in the series finale Monday night. Martin Perez is slated to start against the Orioles' Jorge Lopez.
