Report: Celtics Sign DoubleStar Eagles Guard Jonathan Gibson
With Kyrie Irving now out until next season, the Boston Celtics have signed guard Jonathan Gibson, according to Shams Charania of Yahoo Sports!.
Sources: The Boston Celtics are signing guard Jonathan Gibson for the remainder of the season. Gibson averaged 33.7 points in China this season.

Gibson, 30, was most recently playing for the Qingdao DoubleStar Eagles of the Chinese Basketball Association prior to the news of signing with the Celtics.

With the signing, the Celtics add much needed depth at the guard position, while adding another player to the end of the bench.
The 6-2, 185-pound guard averaged 6.2 points and 13.6 minutes-per-game in 17 games for the Dallas Mavericks last season. And in 2014 he took home the CBA’s scoring title, averaging more than 30 points-per-game.
