The Celtics finished off a successful western road trip with a 122-118 victory over LeBron James and the Los Angeles Lakers on Tuesday night. Before the game, Celtics head coach Joe Mazzulla reportedly called out both Jayson Tatum and Jaylen Brown for poor their performance in a loss to the Clippers.

During his weekly interview with Zolak & Bertrand, Mazzulla was asked about the “confrontation” and what he said to the Celtics star duo.

First of all, they want to be coached. They’re very open minded to what it takes to be great as individuals and what it takes to be great as a team. So, as a staff, we’re grateful for that, that we have a group of guys that want to be coached. • Tatum and Brown will look to build off a strong finish to the west coast trip when they come home and face the Orlando Magic on Friday. Coverage begins on 98.5 The Sports Hub at 7pm.
