On Tuesday’s edition of Zolak & Bertrand, Scott Zolak admitted that Bailey Zappe doesn’t play favorites like Mac Jones.
Bailey Zappe is spreading the ball around
Zo: Why’d this guy (Bailey Zappe) hit Jonnu Smith up the scene, where Mac (Jones) couldn’t seem to have the ability to get the ball to Smith downfield. Threw the pick in Atlanta.
Hardy: How many targets did Jonnu Smith have with Mac Jones at the start of the season?
Zo: Not many. You see his comments after the game?
Beetle: No, but I think what Zo’s indicating is that he should have had more targets, Mac didn’t see him. You know what I mean? All right.
Zo: I don’t think this kid plays favorites.
Beetle: Oh interesting. I like that.
Zo: This is a perfect scenario for a new guy because right now, I don’t know who he trusts. That’s why you dispense the ball around.
Beetle: That’s what (Colin) Cowherd said. He distributes the ball well. He’s not focused in on his favorite guy or the guy he trusts the most.

Colin Cowherd had a similar thought
"Bill Belichick is just going to go by what he sees... If he feels like that player gives him the best chance to win, that's who will play."
