I like hockey jerseys. So here’s my complete ranking of the home jerseys in the NHL for the 2022-23 NHL season.

  • 32. Nashville Predators

The shade of yellow isn’t great and the jersey is just boring overall.

  • 31 . Anaheim Ducks

New Jersey Devils v Anaheim Ducks

Going from the Mighty Ducks look from the Winged Foot D was a massive regression.

  • 30. Los Angeles Kings

Bring back the purple and yellow look.

  • 29. Washington Capitals

    Minnesota Wild v Washington Capitals

    Bring back the “Screaming Eagle”.

  • 28. Columbus Blue Jackets

Detroit Red Wings v Columbus Blue Jackets

COLUMBUS, OHIO – NOVEMBER 19: Emil Bemstrom #52 of the Columbus Blue Jackets celebrates his goal with Boone Jenner #38 and Johnny Gaudreau #13 during the second period against the Detroit Red Wings at Nationwide Arena on November 19, 2022 in Columbus, Ohio. (Photo by Emilee Chinn/Getty Images)

The jersey is boring. The team is boring.

  • 27. Winnipeg Jets

I know they aren’t the original Winnipeg Jets, but they need to get back to the original Jets look.

  • 26. Vegas Golden Knights

St Louis Blues v Vegas Golden Knights

The shift to the golden jersey at home full time was a bad one.

  • 25. Florida Panthers

    Colorado Avalanche v Florida Panthers

The current Panther isn’t scary, at all. And there’s too many patches on the jersey.

  • 24. Edmonton Oilers

    Oilers

There might be a little 2019 Stanley Cup Finals bias here, but I just don’t like this jersey.

  • 22. Carolina Hurricanes

Jan 29, 2023; Raleigh, North Carolina, USA; Carolina Hurricanes center Sebastian Aho (20) is congratulated by center Seth Jarvis (24) left wing Teuvo Teravainen (86) and defenseman Dylan Coghlan (15) after his goal against the Boston Bruins during the first period at PNC Arena. Ditching the original logo for the Hurricane Warning logo was a mistake.

  • 21. Dallas Stars

I actually like this look. There’s just too many better looks around the league.

  • 20. San Jose Sharks

    Sharks

Love the teal. Love the logo.

A jersey that should never change much. Great logo. Great color scheme.

  • 16. New Jersey Devils

NEWARK, NEW JERSEY - DECEMBER 23: David Pastrnak #88 of the Boston Bruins is congratulated by teammates after scoring during the 2nd period of the game against the New Jersey Devils at Prudential Center on December 23, 2022 in Newark, New Jersey. (Photo by Jamie Squire/Getty Images)

It’s a good jersey and not much else.

  • 15. Ottawa Senators

The logo is great. The color scheme is great. Overall nice look.

  • 14. Seattle Kraken

  • 13. Toronto Maple Leafs

Classic original 6 look. I liked the older Leaf crest better than the current one.

  • 12. New York Islanders

ELMONT, NEW YORK - JANUARY 18: Zach Parise #11 of the New York Islanders celebrates his goal at 15:41 of the first period against the Boston Bruins at UBS Arena on January 18, 2023 in Elmont, New York. (Photo by Bruce Bennett/Getty Images)

Going back to the original color scheme and look in the 2010’s was a great decision by the Islanders.

  • 11. Detroit Red Wings

DETROIT, MICHIGAN - OCTOBER 19: Moritz Seider #53 of the Detroit Red Wings skates against the Columbus Blue Jackets at Little Caesars Arena on October 19, 2021 in Detroit, Michigan. (Photo by Gregory Shamus/Getty Images)

Original 6. The Winged Wheel should never leave this jersey.

  • 10. Arizona Coyotes

Great logo. Great colors…..but they should go back to the North Stars color scheme.

  • 8. Colorado Avalanche

It’s always been something about the logo for me. It just ties it all in nicely.

  • 7. Chicago Blackhawks

Thank goodness the “Buffaslug” jerseys didn’t last and they went back to the original look.

  • 5. Boston Bruins

BOSTON, MASSACHUSETTS - OCTOBER 25: David Pastrnak #88 of the Boston Bruins celebrates with Hampus Lindholm #27 and Patrice Bergeron #37 after scoring a goal against the Dallas Stars during the first period at TD Garden on October 25, 2022 in Boston, Massachusetts. (Photo by Maddie Meyer/Getty Images)

The Spoked-B is great….but they have to get back to the 90’s look. And when they do, they’ll move to #1 on the list.

  • 4. Montreal Canadiens

The Red, White, and Blue. Rangers diagonally down the front. I hate to give New York a #1 ranking, but they’ve got the best jerseys in hockey.
