New England Patriots

  • Monday night’s win over the Cardinals saw the Patriots have a number of players leave the game early due to injuries. On Wednesday, the team practices for the first time since that game and it was apparent some of those injuries could end up having multi-week impacts.

Of the four players who left that game early, three didn’t take part in Wednesday’s practice. That group was running back Rhamondre Stevenson (ankle), wide receiver DeVante Parker (concussion), and cornerback Jack Jones (knee). Safety Devin McCourty, who left the game late with one of the unaffiliated neurotrauma consultants, was not listed on the injury report at all.

  • In addition to the three players named above, offensive tackle Isaiah Wynn (foot) also didn’t practice. Wynn hasn’t played in a game since Week 11.

While the Patriots were missing some key players, they did get some key players back. Running back Damien Harris (thigh), wide receiver Jakobi Meyers (concussion), offensive tackle Yodny Cajuste (calf/back), and cornerback Jalen Mills (groin) all practiced and were listed as limited after being inactive on Monday. Long snapper Joe Cardona (ankle) was also listed as limited, appearing on the injury report for the first time this year.

The Patriots also had defensive tackle Christian Barmore back at practice. Barmore has been on IR, but is eligible to return this week.

As for the Raiders, guard Alex Bars (knee) and cornerback Rock Ya-Sin (knee) both were non-participants on Wednesday. Six players were limited, including starting running back Josh Jacobs (quad/hand).
