Publicly, the Patriots are done for the spring. On Wednesday morning the team canceled its final scheduled Minicamp practice, which was set for Wednesday afternoon.

That practice was set to be the final time the Patriots would hold any media availability until the start of training camp. So to that extent, we won't get another look at the team until late July.

As for the team itself, they likely still have a few events on the schedule. The Patriots offseason program doesn't officially end until Friday.

In the past, it hasn't been uncommon for Bill Belichick to replace, not cancel, the final Minicamp practice with some sort of teambuilding activity. Past examples have included things such as paintball. There's also usually a debrief of some sort between players and coaches.

Once that's all done though, the team is dismissed until training camp. While it's often said the NFL 'has no offseason,' the biggest down period takes place over the next month and a half.

Even with no practice, it'll still be a busy day at Gillette Stadium on Wednesday. Free agent wide receiver DeAndre Hopkins will be in the building for the first day of his two-day visit.
