On Friday, the Patriots announced their schedule for their offseason workout plan this spring. That includes report dates, as well as the dates for OTA (organized team activities) and minicamp practices.

Players are set to report to the facility on April 17. Rookies join the team immediately after the NFL Draft, which will take place from April 27-29.

  • A little over a month later is when the team will take the field for the first time. They’ll begin OTAs on May 22, with 10 sessions scheduled.

    • May 22
    • May 23
    • May 25
    • May 30-31
    • June 2
    • June 5-6
    • June 8-9
  • Spring practices conclude with minicamp, which will take place from June 12-14. While attendance at OTAs is optional, minicamp attendance is mandatory.

All spring practices are closed to the public, but select OTA practices and all three minicamp dates will be open to the media. It will be the first chance to see the new roster on the field, and give insight into the usage of new players, as well as set the stage for positional, depth chart, and roster battles heading into the summer. With a new offensive coordinator, we may also get an idea about any philosophical changes on offense (as was the case last year, when it became apparent in the spring the team would embrace a more zone running scheme).

Once spring practices wrap up, the team will have about a month and a half off before the start of training camp in late July.
