Last week, the Patriots released their regular season schedule for 2022. On Thursday, they completed the picture by announcing the dates and times for the 2022 preseason as well.
With the NFL’s new scheduling format that was introduced in 2021, teams only play three preseason games instead of the traditional four. The conferences alternate years hosting one or two preseason games. Last year, the Patriots hosted one, so this year, they’ll host two (and have one fewer home regular season game, after having one extra in 2021).
All Patriots preseason games can be heard on 98.5 The Sports Hub and the Patriots Radio Network.

Instead of playing the preseason finale against the Giants like they have in the past, the Patriots will welcome the G-Men to Gillette to get the preseason started on August 11. This will be the first time since 2004 that the Patriots don’t play their final preseason game against the Giants.
Week 2 vs. Carolina Panthers: Friday Aug. 19, 7 p.m.

For their second preseason game and final one at home, the Patriots will face another traditional preseason opponent in the Carolina Panthers. A report earlier this spring indicated there could be joint practices between the teams leading up to this game.
Week 3 @ Las Vegas Raiders: Friday Aug. 26, 8:15 p.m.

This game was reported last week, but is now official. The Patriots’ first ever trip to Las Vegas will come in the preseason, ahead of the teams’ regular season matchup in December. Joint practices are expected to accompany this game as well. The Patriots will then have 16 days off before their regular season opener against Miami.
