It’s time for the latest “Mazz’s Tiers“! This week Mazz returns to his more traditional tiers of ranking the teams in the NFL. Where will the local New England Patriots rank ahead of their week 10 matchup in Germany this week?
But before the tiers….here are some other things you need to know from the NFL Communications Department…
The New England Patriots and Indianapolis Colts will meet in Germany this week. It’ll be the third game in NFL history to be played in Germany and the second of the 2023 season. The Kansas City Chiefs defeated the Miami Dolphins in Germany in week 9.
Buffalo Bills quarterback Josh Allen can break a tie with Aaron Rodgers and Steve Young for most career games with at least one touchdown pass and one rushing touchdown in the same game with 32 against the Denver Broncos on Monday Night. Only Cam Newton has more games with at least one touchdown pass and rushing touchdown in the same game with 45.
The AFC leading Kansas City Chiefs and NFC leading Philadelphia Eagles are both on a bye in week 10. The two teams will meet in week 11 in Kansas City on Monday Night Football in a rematch of last year’s Super Bowl.
San Francisco 49ers running back Christian McCaffrey will look to record his 15th consecutive regular season game with a touchdown from scrimmage. If he can record at least once touchdown this week from scrimmage he’ll break a tie with O.J. Simpson for the 3rd longest such streak in NFL history.
Carolina Panthers wide receiver Adam Thielen will look to become the fifth undrafted wide receiver or tight end in NFL history to record 600 career receptions on Thursday Night Football. Thielen is four receptions away from joining Antonio Gates, Wes Welker, Rod Smith, and Danny Amendola as the only undrafted players to hit the 600 receptions mark.
