Felger: What’s your top tier in the league and what are the teams?

Mazz: Okay, tier one. Three teams, unchanged from a week ago. Buffalo, Tampa, Kansas City. Correct me if i’m wrong, they all lost last week?

Felger: Correct me if I’m wrong, they all lost last week?

Mazz: That’s right. I still think they’re the best teams in the league and I wouldn’t read into any particular thing with one of their losses.

Jim Murray: Tampa has like two touchdowns.

Mazz: But they were really banged up last week. Mike Evans didn’t play. They didn’t have any wide receivers. Their defense is still very, very good. They held Green Bay to 14 points. They lost by two, Murray.

Jim Murray: Miami should be there.

Mazz: Okay. So, no. Miami is getting close, though. Frankly, Miami had a horseshoe up its ass last week. You know Miami got outgained like 500 to 200 in terms of yardage.

Felger: Doesn’t it bother you that Buffalo can’t win close games?

Mazz: Yeah, a little bit. Okay, so it’s a big week for the bills. I expect Buffalo to bounce back this week at Baltimore. We’ll see how that one goes. But I have a hard time putting anyone up on the level of those three teams. I’m willing to give the Bills one slip up.

Felger: Well you’re willing to give them all slip ups, apparently because they are lost.

Mazz: No, I said the Bills. I’m willing to give the Bills one slip up.

Felger: Oh, and then they’re out. You’ll give Tampa and Kansas City multiple slip ups?

Mazz: Well, they’ve won Super Bowls, Buffalo has not.

Felger: That’s tier one. Three teams, that’s it. Tier two please.

Mazz: Green Bay, the Rams. Eagles and Dolphins. Chargers who I’m waining on.

Felger: I’m sorry, Murray. What’s the Chargers record?

    Jim Murray: 1-2.

    Felger: Thank you. Ok, Proceed.

Mazz: I’m ready to drop them to tier three, I can’t lie to you on that one.

Felger: But you’re not there yet?

Mazz: No, because the quarterback was banged up. Let’s see what happens. But it they lose this week they might drop to tier four. Ravens. Dallas moves up from tier three to tier two.

    Felger: Explain.

Mazz: Dallas. Their defense is legit.

Jim Murray: Their pass rush is insane.

Mazz: Their defense is legit. And I’ll tell you what, they lose Dak Prescott, they look like garbage in the opener, they win two with Cooper Rush…Dallas is to be taken seriously. Dallas is going to fight it out with the Eagles for that division championship.

    Felger: Tier three please

Mazz: Minnesota. Cincinnati, bounced down from tier two. Denver. Tennessee. The Niners bounced down from tier two, and the Colts. Oh, sorry. One more, the Jags who have been moved up.

Felger: Ohhhh movement. We have movement. Tier four, please.

Mazz: Pittsburgh. New England. New Orleans. Arizona, which has moved down into tier four. The Giants still in tier four, and they lost this past week, but keep an eye on the Giants. The Browns, tier four. Seahawks. Lions. Raiders. You happy, Murray? I moved the Raiders down.

    Jim Murray: About time.

Mazz: Tier four, the Raiders basically in tier four, the Jags in Tier three.

Felger: I think you started with the Raiders in Tier two.

Mazz: I might have. Yup. You’re probably right about that. They’re a mess.

Felger: Tier five. The six worst teams in the league are….

Mazz: Carolina. Atlanta, whom Murray loves for some reason.

    Jim Murray: No I don’t.

Mazz: The Jets. Houston. The Commanders. And the Bears. Those teams all blow.
