As many fans of the show have noticed, Tony Mazz has been out a lot recently. On Monday’s Felger and Mazz, Mazz addressed what has caused him to miss some time from the show in recent weeks.

    Felger: First of all, let’s address Mazz. Where the hell you been?

    Mazz: Okay, so obviously we were all out for the holidays, the final day before break, if you remember, I truncated because I wasn’t feeling great that day.

    Felger: You threw up on the air.

    Mazz: I did, basically. Yeah, I had to get up in the middle of the segment right at the end of the 3:00 hour and, you know, I had to run to the bathroom. So, long story short is this, because I got a lot of emails and people had a lot of questions and, you know, this also addresses things going forward, that I had some health things pop up during the holidays that I was not anticipating. They required my immediate attention, we addressed them, I feel good about it, but I’m also going to have to ramp up getting back to work here on the advice of the people who’ve been taking care of me.

    Felger: What do you mean, ramp up?

    Mazz: My schedule is going to be a little staggered here over the next couple of weeks.

    Felger: You mean pace yourself?

    Mazz: Yes. So I’m going to be in and out a little bit over the next couple of weeks. It’s not going to be full weeks for me, but I’m going to rebuild up to a, you know, a full week. Shouldn’t be too long. Again, I feel pretty good. I appreciate people reaching out. My initial plan was to come back last week, but I extended the vacation because I do have a ton of vacation time like Hurley! So I extend it a little bit but I’m back, I’m feeling good and I’m happy to be back. And as you can see from looking at me, I’m ready to begin my Olympic diving career.
