On Zolak & Bertrand, Beetle explained why the Celtics win over the Bucks gave him confidence they can flip a switch.

  • Celtics can still be the team we thought they could be...

Scott Zolak: Jaylen Brown was great to start the game and I know eventually (Jayson) Tatum got it going in the second, but you know the back and forth with those two. But man Robert Williams again there, Al (Horford) hits a couple of big shots. (Marcus) Smart playing good defense, it’s just it was a mismatch, but again going into we were going to say, all right if they go in there and kick their ass, how are we going to react? Because they were so nonchalant about the no show the other night.

Marc Bertand: We said it was going to be a response.

Scott Zolak: But this is a really good response.

    Marc Bertand: Yeah, exactly.

Scott Zolak: I’m not going to sit here and pump their tires because of what we said the other night when they just dismissed it.

Marc Bertand: What I said yesterday is if they go in there and they have a great win, it would give you so much more confidence about their ability to flip a switch.

Scott Zolak: You see their eyes. You see their eyes in this game, did you see the communication between them?

Marc Bertand: Retroactively, you look back and say, you couldn’t beat the Wizards because why? Because you just didn’t care enough?

Scott Zolak: Game didn’t have juice.

Marc Bertrand: So the good news is when they do care, which they will come playoff time, they are still the team we thought they could be.
