The New England Patriots did a lot to overcome adversity at quarterback and nearly pull the road upset in Green Bay. But in the end, Aaron Rodgers did just enough to drive the Packers down the field in overtime, and Mason Crosby's chip-shot field goal as time expired gave Green Bay a 27-24 win.

Keep scrolling for a recap of the top highlights from Patriots-Packers...

Rodgers' 500th TD Pass Ties Game

The Packers have tied the game back up after a strong drive by Aaron Rodgers, who finished it off with his 500th career touchdown pass. Romeo Doubs makes a nice adjustment to the ball and Jonathan Jones can't quite disrupt the play, so Doubs is in for the score. Tie game, 24-24.

Patriots Hold Packers To Field Goal, Then Score Touchdown

The Patriots are back in the lead. First, the defense held Aaron Rodgers and the Packers to a field goal. On their ensuing possession, they ride their power run game all the way to the end zone, capped with a Damien Harris touchdown.

Bailey Zappe also burned the Pack on this drive, hitting Nelson Agholor for 21 yards to set up first-and-goal.

Zappe Throws First Career Touchdown

Bailey Zappe is on the board. Despite appearing to snap the ball late, the officials did not flag him for a delay of game. Zappe is instead able to loft a throw to DeVante Parker, who's wide open down the field for a touchdown catch-and-run. Huge drive for Zappe and the Pats, who now lead 17-14.

Packers Re-Take Lead

Aaron Rodgers drove the Packers down the field on their first drive of the third quarter for a touchdown, finishing it off with a strike to tight end Robert Tonyan in the end zone.

The Patriots had opportunities to get off the field here. But a third-and-10 completion to Allen Lazard and a fourth-down conversion by running back Aaron Jones helped keep the Packers alive. After heading to the half with the lead, the Patriots are right back to playing catch-up.

Jack Jones Pick-Six Puts Patriots Ahead

Massive play near the end of the first half by Patriots rookie cornerback Jack Jones. He undercuts the throw from Aaron Rodgers intended for Allen Lazard and has no one near him to make a tackle, giving him an easy pick-six. The Patriots now have a 10-7 lead on the verge of halftime.

Packers Score Game's First Touchdown

Rookie receiver Christian Watson took a jet sweep handoff all the way to the end zone for the Packers, who now have a 7-3 lead over the Patriots. After the snap, multiple defenders bit inside for the Patriots, giving Watson plenty of room to run to the outside and reach the end zone comfortably.

Patriots' Jack Jones Forces Turnover

The Patriots have come up with a defensive turnover on their first try to stop Aaron Rodgers. On this play, rookie receiver Romeo Doubs makes the catch and a football move, but Patriots rookie cornerback Jack Jones jarred the ball loose and recovered his own fumble. Great play by the rookie to get Rodgers off the field and get the ball back to the Pats offense.

Patriots Score First

Brian Hoyer and the Patriots have come away from their first offensive drive with points. Nick Folk's 37-yard field goal is good to make it 3-0 Patriots.

Hoyer looked to be under pressure from the Packers' defensive front on third-and-10, forcing an errant pass intended for Hunter Henry. It was a solid-enough opening drive for the offense, which included a 27-yard hookup between Hoyer and Nelson Agholor.
