The New England Patriots are 7-4 on the season after taking care of business in Atlanta, shutting out the Falcons 25-0 in an utterly dominating performance by the defense.

Scroll down for a recap of the top highlights from the game.

  • Q4, 1:22: Van Noy gets a pick-six

Why not?! Kyle Van Noy could have taken a knee and the Patriots could be heading for the showers, but he felt the need to pad his stats and instead takes his interception of Falcons backup Josh Rosen to the end zone. Extra point is no good, so it’s 25-0 Patriots. No big deal for Van Noy to get the points. You never know, I guess.

  • Q4, 5:09: J.C. Jackson makes his fifth INT

Good night. Mr. INT does it again. Matt Ryan’s pass is way too high and it’s off the receiver’s fingertips into the hands of J.C. Jackson. He’s marked out of bounds where he made the pick, but the Pats have the ball back and have a chance to run the clock out here.

  • Q4, 12:00: McCourty intercepts Ryan

Matt Ryan has to get rid of the ball with pressure in his face, and with Dont’a Hightower leaping to bat the pass, he has to float it way up. The ball simply has too much air under it, and the only player back deep enough to catch it is Patriots safety Devin McCourty. Patriots get the ball back, this time with a chance to chew some clock and turn it into a three-possession game.

  • Q3, 5:04: Momentum shift? Falcons pick off Mac Jones

The Patriots appeared to be driving toward more points, but suddenly, Mac Jones makes an ill-advised throw down the field intended for Jonnu Smith that is picked off by cornerback A.J. Terrell.

Atlanta now has a chance to get right back in the game. It’s still only 13-0, so a Falcons touchdown would put some pressure on the Patriots.

  • HALFTIME: Patriots 13, Falcons 0.

Nick Folk’s field goal attempt is good on the last play of the second quarter. The Patriots take a 13-0 lead to the locker room at halftime.

Another sack on Jones, this time for a seven-yard loss, ultimately set this drive back. Right tackle Trent Brown has been a little leaky on the right edge tonight. Jones was able to complete a 10-yard pass to Jakobi Meyers on the following play, but he was just short of the first down, so the Patriots elected to run the clock down and kick the field goal.

Overall, a strong half for the still-rolling Patriots. They’ve been particularly productive defensively, with three sacks, three QB hits, and two pass breakups. The Falcons have only 64 total yards of offense and are 2-for-7 on third down. Jones and the Pats, obviously, have the only touchdown of the game so far with an easy catch-and-run into the end zone for Nelson Agholor.

  • Q2, 13:44: Patriots score, take a 10-0 lead

The Pats have found the end zone for the first time tonight, as Mac Jones hits a wide-open Nelson Agholor on a shallow crosser. Agholor runs after the catch into pay dirt with ease on what looks like a total coverage bust by the Falcons.

Damien Harris rushed three times for 33 yards on the drive. Here’s a good, hard run from earlier in it.
