During his weekly interview with Zolak and Bertrand, Celtics head coach Joe Mazzulla explained why he isn’t worried about his team despite their recent three game skid that included bac-to-back overtime losses.

 

  • Still 'zero concern' despite losing skid and blown leads

    “You have to maintain a level of perspective. You have to understand the why of what’s going on. But you also have to look at the point is we actually got those leads. And so it’s not that we’re playing consistently bad basketball. It’s not that we’re consistently not doing the right thing. It’s just there’s inconsistencies and in the habits that we build.”

    “And I think when you come after and post All-Star heading into the playoffs, the thing that you’re fighting for the most is how do you maintain that level of consistency? And so in all three games, we’ve played really good basketball for long stretches, and in all three games we played bad basketball during important stretches. And so it’s more about honing in on those details, especially situational basketball. You’ve got to hone in on those details because their important.”
