Felger: What's the kid's name? I won't bother to know it.
Matt McCarthy: Kevin Harris.
Jim Murray: Kevin Harris.
Felger: As opposed to what's the other Harrises name?
Matt McCarthy: Damien.
Jim Murray: Damien.
Felger: Okay.
Jim Murray: Kevin Harris, you probably knew from the heart beforehand, what was the game he ran into someone's ass?
Felger: Oh, yeah. They put him in for one play against the Bills.
Jim Murray: That's what it was. Yeah.
Felger: Yeah, well, I mean, whatever. Like, it's just, I know there's fans out there who probably pants off now. "Oh, we got this kid". Like, you got another running back.
Jim Murray: Harris and Pierre Strong. The Frenchmen.
Felger: Just another running back. They should have traded, what's the other, Damien Harris? They should traded him before the year.
Jim Murray: Yeah, given his contract status. Yeah, they probably should of.
Felger: He's probably gone at the end of the year for nothing. If they pay Rhamondre Stevenson, they're stupid. I mean, and I love Rhamondre, I think he's a great player. I think he's a badass. I think Stevenson is terrific. But there's just more where that came from at that position. There's just no better example of the interchangeable nature of that position. Running backs, it's disposable razors. They just are. It's that position. I've that's been a long standing Felger and Mazz, Felger anyway, tenant from day one. When we came on the air 13, 14 years ago I've been telling you that.
Jim Murray: Maybe the thing I've been the most wrong about since I've joined the show. In a long list. But the back thing, like I because I would argue against this like, "no you got to draft if a guy's worth it in the first round, you take a running back. Like running backs are great". No, you've been proven right. Because people even freaking out last night, like, "what are they going to do without Rhamondre Stevenson. He's their best offensive player", and I like Stevenson, he's almost like an off brand Alvin Kamara in a lot of ways. They were just fine without him.
Felger: Stephenson is a bad ass, he's good. And I play him on his rookie contract. And then the second that rookie contract is over....love you, mean it, I hope your bank somewhere else make your money, have a career, I mean that with all the love and respect to my heart. But if I'm a team, that running back never gets to the second contract. If i'm an NFL team, I never draft a running back higher than the second and even then it's the rarest of cases but fine.
Matt McCarthy: Right he has to be Saquon Barkley to do that I think.
Jim Murray: Even then, like I think he's proven to be like a terrible pick.
Felger: It's a terrible pick.
Matt McCarthy: Sure. I mean, he was spectacular his rookie year.
Felger: I don't care. He's a running back. He's a running back.
Matt McCarthy: I couldn't agree more.
Felger: What does a running back do for you? So he's their best offensive player. Now they go and they play a real team like the Eagles. Jalen Hurts goes out there, flicks his penis, and there's 47 yards. Meanwhile, you're going to hand it off to that kid for 12 times to grind clock and get a field goal. Like, NO!
