Jim Murray: Well, it was another night of low tier hog tripping is what it was. I mean, the third play of the game? The third play of the game, Kyler Murray, you immediately knew Matthew Judon is immediately calling to the sidelines. It's like, "you got to be kidding me". It's just going to be rendered useless. I don't care how bad the Patriots offense is. We're not going to get like a real game? And I know like, look, it was kind of a real game for at least a half, but it's another night of low tier hog tripping and he who trips over their hog the least is who wins. And for the Patriots and their many faults, and they have some, many really, especially with that offense, they're at least a tighter operation than that Cardinals team. I mean, you're right, like the main story still coming out of this is that you have the quarterback losing his mind because the plays not coming in fast enough or he doesn't know the play clock or the whole thing is still a complete disaster.
Felger: And how ready it was to tip his what is just stood out to me and it still may be. I don't know, I can't predict the future.
Jim Murray: Oh, what? We're supposed to think it's fixed because Mac Jones stands up at the podium after the games like, "oh no, Matty P, we're good" and you know they're dapping it up and hugging it up and bro-ing down of the second half of this game. I'm sorry. That's all for show. It's still a mess. It doesn't take much. They can beat these kind of teams. We know that. I think it would've probably be a different outcome against Kyler Murray if he happened to not get hurt on the third play of the game and if that coach wasn't a moron. But the main takeaway is stil, okay, yeah, they can beat the crap, we know that. But they're still broken. The offense is still broken. The quarterback still hates the offensive playcaller, offensive coordinator, whatever you want to call Matt Patricia, it's still a problem and it's not fixed just because they won this game last night.
Felger: It felt so broken. So teetering on the edge is how it felt, McCarthy, what do you think? Well, I don't.
Matt McCarthy: Well I don't disagree that it feels broken and it was teetering on the edge. But you guys have said it all year long, the Patriots can still beat teams like this, teams that beat themselves more than the Patriots are ready to beat themselves. And that's what that game was last night. And that's why I feel like even if Kyler Murray stays healthy in that game, the Cardinals still would have found a way to lose because they wanted to lose that game last night. DeAndre Hopkins with the fumble, the dumb ass coaching decisions left and right, going for it on repeated fourth downs and failing on those fourth downs. That Cardinals team is bad. It's a worse operation than you, but it doesn't give me a hell of a lot of faith in the operation going on here right now.
Jim Murray: Oh, I don't know, I disagree. Kyler Murray, I thought on the plate he got hurt I was like, "oh, they're going to be in for a long night".
Felger: I thought the exact same thing.
Jim Murray: Mike, like he looked like they were coming off a brea, he's had this hamstring thing. I know it was only three plays, but I'm like, Oh, he's healthy and he breaks that run, I'm like, "Oh, it's going to be a long night for this defense chasing this little water bug. Oh, there goes the knee". And so now, I mean, what am I supposed to take away from this when the quarterbacks you've beaten are this murderer's row: Mitch Trubisky, Jacoby Brissett, Jared Goff, Zach Wilson twice, Sam Ehlinger, and now Colt McCoy at 36 years old.
Felger: You've beaten only one starting quarterback and that was Jared Goff.
