The Boston Celtics are expected to announce a season-long suspension for head coach Ime Udoka, amid reported violations of the franchise’s code of conduct. ESPN’s Adrian Wojnarowski first reported the news, with an official announcement from the Celtics expected as soon as Thursday.

According to Shams Charania on Twitter, Udoka “had an improper intimate and consensual relationship with a female member of the team staff.”

Udoka led the Celtics to a berth in the 2022 NBA Finals against the Golden State Warriors last season. Now, it sounds like the team is prepared to move forward for the 2022-23 season without him. Reports suggest that he will not lose his job entirely.
