The Boston Red Sox are looking to add pitching depth in the days since moving Tanner Houck to the injured list.
Houck was recently placed on the 15-day IL with a facial fracture, as announced by the team on Sunday. That’s no surprise. They also recalled righty Kaleb Ort from Triple-A Worcester to take Houck’s roster spot for the time being.
But now, they’re reportedly adding a veteran pitcher to the pipeline to help back things up.
