Beetle: If Bruins don’t win the Stanley Cup, it’ll be an all-time choke job

On Wednesday’s edition of Zolak & Bertrand, Beetle explained why it’ll be an all-time choke job if the Bruins don’t win the Stanley Cup.

  • Comparable to the 2007-2008 Patriots?

    Marc Bertrand: We’re getting to the point because that grinder thing that Felger just mentioned, they did that last night. Did you see them grind last night and have to tough it out even though they look like ass for much of the game? They found a way to win. Good teams find ways to win. That’s why they are closing in on 100 points this week. Okay, so. I think you’ve got to look at this and say if they don’t win it, ts is going to go down as one of the biggest Boston sports like failures in recent history. This is 2007 Patriots territory.That’s what you’re talking about here.

    Scott Zolak: Didn’t we just hash this the other day? About which loss would be more devastating?

    Marc Bertrand: We’re now grading out and figuring out how disappointing it will be and where it should sort of be categorized. And that’s where I’m going to put it. 2007 Patriots level. You didn’t make it. Oh, but you don’t understand. The playoffs are a grind. The longest playoffs going. Oh, it’s so much harder than any of the other playoffs. Right, because none of the other playoffs in any other sport are not valid when you talk to the hockey centric fans.
