On Thursday’s edition of Zolak & Bertrand, Albert Breer said he’s hearing things aren’t accelerating between the Patriots and Bill O’Brien.

  • The latest from Albert Breer

Albert Breer: I don’t get the sense that things are accelerating with Bill O’Brien.

    Scott Zolak: Interesting, isn’t it?

Albert Breer: They haven’t yet. And it sort of makes you wonder what’s going on there. You know, as far as I know, like he’s still sort of doing his job as the Alabama offensive coordinator. And you know, we’ll see, but I don’t think like he has a whole lot more insight into the way all this is happening than any of the rest of us do right now. So it’ll be interesting to see which way this goes, because I do think he has an interest in coming back. I also think it’ll get interesting because of what’s going to happen in Tennessee here, because the Titans, if you look now, they had a general manager search and they have an offensive coordinator search. The general manager search is now complete. They went and hired Ran Carthon, Maurice’s son.

Scott Zolak: That’s unbelievable. Maurice was great too, man.

Albert Breer: Ran’s a great dude, too. But they got that one out of the way now and so now, like, you’d think they get the offensive coordinator search rolling and Billy is very close with (Mike) Vrabel. So plot sort of thickens now.
