  • It’s NFL Draft day, which means the months of speculation are almost over. In just a few days, we’ll have the full 2022 Patriots draft class.

    Still, that doesn’t mean we can’t cram a few more predictions into the final hours before the first round. Here’s how some 98.5 The Sports Hub personalities predict the Patriots approaching the NFL Draft.

    Jones didn’t offer a first round pick, but he does see the Patriots taking Western Michigan slot receiver Skyy Moore at some point. Moore is projected to go late in the first round or early in the second.

    Jimmy is sticking with the Felger & Mazz Big Board. He has the Patriots trading back and taking Georgia linebacker Quay Walker.

    Kevin thinks it will be a long weekend for all of us. He’s predicting the Patriots trade out of the first round entirely.

    Tom is sticking with the latest trends that have emerged in the days leading up to the draft. He has the Patriots taking Devin Lloyd.

    Apparently, we needed specify that this is for the NFL draft when talking to Miliken. He responded with Bishop Gorman HS outfielder Justin Crawford, who he sees the Red Sox drafting 24th overall in the MLB Draft on July 17. Justin is the son of former Red Sox outfielder Carl Crawford.

    Lockhart did a first-round mock draft earlier this week. He has the Patriots taking BC offensive lineman Zion Johnson.

    Ted is going with Boston College offensive lineman Zion Johnson to the Patriots in the first round. The BC product projects mainly as a guard, but began his college career at tackle and could likely fill the role in the NFL if needed.

    Louth has Chris Olave falling out of the top 20 and landing in New England. That is among the best-case scenarios that could happen Thursday night.

    This is the actual text we got from McCarthy asking for his prediction: “I have no idea about names. I just predict they’ll take the fattest guy. I want the to take the fattest guy. Protect Mac Jones at all costs.” This year, Minnesota offensive tackle Daniel Faalele was the biggest player at the NFL Combine. He checked in at the Combine at 379 pounds. He’s currently projected as a Day 2 pick.
