There will be plenty of talk about who will go at the top of the draft over the next few months. The 2024 NFL draft class has potentially 6 quarterbacks that could go in the first two rounds. There have been plenty of quarterbacks found in the mid to late rounds such as Dak Prescott and Brock Purdy who will be playing in the Super Bowl this season after being drafted with the final pick in the 2022 draft. The later picks are no longer irrelevant and some make up plenty of back up options across the league. In Week 17, at least 13 teams had backup quarterbacks in the starting position

Jayden Daniel- Louisiana State

Micheal Penix- Washington

Bo Nix- Oregon

Bo Nix was fortunate to leave Auburn and go to Oregon. He put up big numbers and fits that RPO offense. He could be a system QB but showed signs of improvement and made throws on the run

J.J. McCarthy – Michigan

Height: 6-3. Weight: 203.

McCarthy has a string arm and can make throws at the next level. He is slender and could be a reason he’s not a 1st round pick. Makes great throws on the run.
