Patriots announce initial training camp dates

The New England Patriots have announced the scheduled for their initial training camp practices this summer.

The Patriots have have just wrapped up spring practices, but training camp is right around the corner. It feels a little closer after Thursday, when the Patriots announced the dates for the initial four practices.

After players report to Gillette Stadium on Tuesday, July 25, the team will hold its first training camp practice the next day on July 26. There are also practices set for July 27 and July 28.

According to the release from the team, the Patriots will hold their fourth training camp practice on either Saturday, July 29 or Sunday, July 30. That specific announcement, along with the times for all of the practices, will be made at a later date.

All Patriots training camp practices at Gillette Stadium are open to the public and free to attend. More information can be found on Patriots.com.

The Patriots will also be heading on the road for four joint practices in mid-August. They'll have two in Green Bay on Wednesday, Aug. 16 and Thursday, Aug. 17 leading up to their Aug. 19 preseason game against the Packers. A week later, they'll be in Nashville for practices on Tuesday, Aug. 22 and Wednesday 23 with the Tennessee Titans, ahead of the Aug. 25 preseason finale.
