4th Annual Pete Frates 5k: Run, Wheel, Walk 3 for #3

A native of Beverly, Pete Frates, became the face of ALS when he and his family started the viral sensation Ice Bucket Challenge.

In honor of their beloved neighbor, Friends of Pete worked with the Beverly City Council to change the name of our neighborhood playground to “Pete’s Park. Changing the name was an exciting first step in a larger vision that will transform the park into something worthy of Pete’s namesake.The vision is to transform the park into an all-inclusive, multi-use, integrated park that meets the ADA’s (American’s with Disability Act) standards of accessible design.  A park that Pete can visit to watch his daughter Lucy play with his nieces and other neighborhood children
