The Bruins are drafting and the Patriots are catching COVID-19. It’s an eventful week in the Boston sports world, and Matt Dolloff is here to break it down with Ty Anderson. The guys start off by addressing those pesky Tuukka Rask rumors, and the possibility of him going to the Colorado Avalanche. Who could the Bruins possibly get back in such a deal? (1:15) Even if the Bruins don’t make a trade during the draft, they could still make one afterward. Brandon Saad, Oliver Ekman-Larsson, and Tyler Toffoli are among the possible trade targets discussed for the Bruins (8:33).
Moving on to the 2020 draft, Ty gives his initial thoughts on Bruins second-round pick Mason Lohrei, and what he’s heard about him as a player (20:12). They also talk about third-rounder Trevor Kuntar, who has committed to Boston College and has potential to really pay off (27:45). Ty reveals which Bruins trade target he’d like to get the most (34:31).
Switching gears to the NFL, Matt & Ty dive into the latest news on the Patriots and COVID-19. Will the league ever decide on pausing the season, or will they simply play through anything? The guys are holding their breath on the Pats, who aren’t necessarily out of the woods yet as far as avoiding a full-on outbreak. (38:36) The Bruins draft Jamie Langenbrunner’s son, Mason, and the guys react live. What is up with the Bruins drafting the kids of people in the organization? (53:05) They close it out by circling back to the Patriots and reacting to Monday’s loss to the Chiefs (1:06:27).
