Boston is the 11th Most Generous City in America
We’ve got some pretty big hearts here in Boston, when we see someone in need, we’re inclined to help. Especially this time of year as we enter the Thanksgiving holiday.
In fact, Boston has been ranked 11th in a new survey of the most generous cities in America.
LawnStarter compared 130 of the biggest U.S. cities based on 13 key indicators of philanthropic behavior, from the share of donors to the number of homeless shelters — and even the number of locals who converted their Little Free Library into a food sharing box for hungry neighbors.
Boston may have ranked high, but just outside the top 10. Let’s see who beat us.
