Who has been the best coach in the NFL through 6 weeks of the NFL season? The betting favorite to start the season was Mike Vrabel of the New England Patriots at +600. He has the team off to a 4-2 start and first place in the AFC East. Vrabel won the award in Tennessee back in 2021, the year they will face this Sunday.

The team with the best record in the AFC is the Indianapolis Colts. Shane Steichen is currently the betting favorite at +250. The second-year coach has the Colts leading the AFC South. He's a big part of the turnaround of Daniel Jones at quarterback. Liam Coen has led the Jaguars to a 4-2 start and comes in right behind Vrabel at +750. Vrabel is currently 2nd in the betting odds at +500.

The Colts & Jaguars will battle it out in the division and could decide the winner of the award. Vrabel and the Patriots winning the AFC East could seal the deal for Vrabel, especially with Buffalo being the Super Bowl favorite in the AFC and projected to dominate the division for years to come. The upcoming schedule for the Patriots is favorable, and getting he odds now at +500 might be the best number you will get.

A few other considerations would be Todd Bowles at +1400. Tampa Bay has battled injuries all year and is 5-1 in the NFC. Mike Evans, Chris Godwin, and Bucky Irvin will all return soon and will only bolster the MVP campaign for Baker Mayfield. Mike Tomlin has the Steelers at 4-1 with Aaron Rodgers and is the clear leader in the AFC North; his odds sit at +1600. Kyle Shanahan is doing wonders with all the injuries in San Francisco. He has kept the team in contention, and what he's done with Mac Jones should put him in the conversation at +1400. The job Ben Johnson is doing in Chicago will also be in play if they can win the NFC North or make the playoffs

My bet is Mike Vrabel +500.
