Scott Zolak: For the Patriots, it feels like it’s going to be bad for a long time
On Monday’s edition of Zolak & Bertrand, Scott Zolak’s biggest takeaway is that it’s going to be bad for a long time for the Patriots.
That was an embarrassing loss yesterday…
Scott Zolak:
You think a lot on a 7-and-a-half-hour flight on the way back. We had it pretty damn good. We had it pretty damn good around here. It feels like it’s going to be bad for a long time.
Marc Bertrand:
This is the third stage of grief. This is where they are. Zo started the year, per usual, in denial of how bad the team was. You started out in training camp and into September in complete denial of how bad they were. He then went to the anger stage of grief, right? Which is angry and mad. And as you just said, what you just described during the games, you typically have been getting upset and now you’re at the bargaining stage. Do you know what that means?
Scott Zolak:
I am embarrassed for this team.
Marc Bertrand:
It means you’re in the stage of, you know, making deals and saying things like, you know, it was good here for a long time.
Tom Morgan:
We’ll be better next year…
Marc Bertrand:
It won’t be good for a long time. You’re angry at some, but you’re at the bargaining stage. You’ve hit stage 3 of grief. That’s where you are.
Scott Zolak:
That was an embarrassing loss yesterday. You came out of the gate up 10, should’ve been up 14. You had a chance to be up 14 to nothing. And then I started looking at that other team. They were a dead team. The Jaguars defense was off the field. Guess what they’re all doing? They’re all sitting down next to each other. Then the offense comes off the field. They all sit down after that… then they ended up laughing at you. You collapsed.
