Kyle Dugger returned to Patriots practice on Thursday
The New England Patriots got safety Kyle Dugger back at practice on Thursday.
On Thursday, a New England Patriots defense that’s dealing with injuries to a number of key players got some good news. Safety Kyle Dugger (ankle) returned to practice, and was listed as limited on Thursday’s injury report.
Dugger didn’t practice at all last week, and missed last Sunday’s game against the Miami Dolphins. He initially suffered the injury two weeks ago against the 49ers.
With Dugger returning to practice the Patriots had just one player missing for Thursday’s session, running back Rhamondre Stevenson (foot). Stevenson also missed Wednesday’s practice – players who don’t practice Wednesday or Thursday rarely play in that week’s game.
There were two other changes on the injury report in addition to Dugger. Tackle Vederian Lowe (knee) was upgraded from a limited to full participant, while cornerback Isaiah Bolden (hamstring) was added as limited after not being listed on Wednesday.
Eight players remain limited for the Patriots – wide receivers Kendrick Bourne (knee) and K.J. Osborn (shoulder), center Nick Leverett (ankle), guard Layden Robinson (ankle/wrist), defensive tackle Davon Godchaux (elbow), linebacker Sione Takitaki (knee), and cornerbacks Marcus Jones (groin) and Marco Wilson (groin). Linebacker Anfernee Jennings (shoulder) and cornerback Jonathan Jones (shoulder) remain full participants.
The Texans returned five players to practice who did not participate on Wednesday. That includes running back Joe Mixon (ankle) and guard Kenyon Green (knee). Wide receiver Stefon Diggs (rest) was removed from the injury report entirely.
