Paul Perillo of Patriots.com joined the Felger and Mazz program on Wednesday to discuss the latest with the New England Patriots. While on, Perillo hit on the state of the team, especially with the news of losing center David Andrews for the remainder of the season.
Felger: How do you feel about your football team Paul?
Paul Perillo: I don’t feel great. I don’t feel great about it. In addition to not necessarily being great talent wise, you’re starting to lose, you know, important pieces now. David Andrews to me is significant. It’s just not a good situation. It really isn’t. And I did think that I heard just as I came in this Mayo stuff, with the locker room specific, really some good signs there I think nipping things in the bud. Because I do think those two receivers were sort of, I thought Demario Douglas did a nice job today sort of saying, “hey, that’s on me”. So clearly it’s been addressed, which is my point of saying some good signs. You don’t want to let that stuff fester.

Paul Perillo: Douglas basically said, that’s not what I want to be. And that I didn’t like the look, you know, when I when I went back and looked at it. Complete Mea Culpa. So I thought that was a good sign both for Douglas and for Mayo.
