Patriots begin preparation for 49ers with 12 players on injury report
The New England Patriots have 12 players listed on their first injury report of Week 4, as they get ready to play the San Francisco 49ers.
The New England Patriots had extra time to rest up coming off of their Thursday night game against the Jets, and it sure looks like they needed it. Heading into their Week 4 matchup with the San Francisco 49ers, the Patriots had 12 players listed on the injury report for their first real day of preparation on Wednesday.
Of those 12 players four didn’t practice. Guard Michael Jordan (ankle), tackle Vederian Lowe (knee), linebacker Anfernee Jennings (shoulder), and cornerback Alex Austin (ankle) were all listed as non-participants.
Six Patriots players were limited on Wednesday. That includes four who weren’t listed on the injury report at all last week – tight end Hunter Henry (ankle), center David Andrews (not injury related/rest), and cornerbacks Christian Gonzalez (shoulder) and Jonathan Jones (shoulder). Guard Sidy Sow (ankle) and tackle Caedan Wallace (knee) also continue to be listed.

Guard Mike Onwenu (wrist) and safety Jabrill Peppers (ankle) were listed as well. Both were full participants on Wednesday.
San Francisco’s side of the injury report wasn’t as lengthy, but includes multiple key players. Four players didn’t practice for San Francisco on Wednesday, including three starters – wide receiver Deebo Samuel (calf), tackle Trent Williams (illness), defensive tackle Javon Hargrave (triceps), and linebacker Dee Winters (ankle) were all non-participants.
Those aren’t the only 49ers starters currently dealing with injuries. Tight end George Kittle (hamstring) was limited, while quarterback Brock Purdy (back) was listed as a full participant.
