Zolak & Bertrand: Patriots aren’t the laughing stock of the NFL
On Monday’s edition of Zolak & Bertrand, the crew touches on the Panthers being the laughing stock of the NFL and not the Patriots.
All attention is on the Panthers…
Marc Bertrand:
But hey, here’s the good news. The Patriots are not the laughingstock, and they are not the team that everyone’s going to go after. It is clearly the Carolina Panthers. Someone at the networks or someone from the ownership has given him carte blanche to go after David Tepper. He’s the new guy. Nobody maybe likes him. He’s an A-hole. Go after that guy and focus on that team as the team we could crush as the laughingstock in the league. What about the other teams that haven’t won a game? What about the Titans? The Adams family, right? Amy Adams Strunk is in charge down there. Why don’t we hear more about her? She fired Mike Vrabel at the end of last year. Has that paid off?
Scott Zolak:
That’s true. Brian Callahan is supposed to be the QB whisperer. Joe Burrow’s former QB coach.
Marc Bertrand:
They let Derrick Henry walk out the door. I saw him have a good day yesterday.
Tim McKone:
I also don’t know if benching Bryce Young was the wrong move if I’m being honest with you. Can he play?
Marc Bertrand:
I don’t think he can play. They blew the pick.
Scott Zolak:
Can’t go back to him. That’s the problem. We talked about Maye, you play him early and it’s not good, you can’t pull him. It kills his confidence.
Marc Bertrand:
The thing with David Tepper that he may not realize is if you’re a good head coach and you have the ability to pick a job, what would ever make you want to go to Carolina?
