Patriots add 3 players to Thursday injury report
The New England Patriots added three players to their Thursday injury report ahead of their Week 2 matchup with the Seattle Seahawks.
The Seattle Seahawks still are facing more injury questions heading into their Week 2 matchup with the New England Patriots, but the Patriots had their own issues pop up on Thursday. Following Thursday’s practice the Patriots added three players to the injury report, including a couple of starters.
Safety Kyle Dugger (ankle), guard Layden Robinson (shoulder), and running back JaMycal Hasty (knee) were all listed as limited on Thursday. None of the three appeared on Wednesday’s injury report.
They join a group of six players who were already limited. That includes running back Antonio Gibson (hip), offensive tackle Vederian Lowe (abdomen), defensive lineman Deatrich Wise (shoulder), linebackers Anfernee Jennings (wrist/knee) and Joshua Uche (foot), and safety Jabrill Peppers (hip).
Guard Sidy Sow (ankle) was the only player to miss practice for the Patriots on Thursday. It’s the second day in a row he’s missed, suggesting he’s unlikely to play on Sunday. Sow missed the season opener as well – he’s recovering from an injury he suffered in the preseason finale.
Two players were also removed from the Patriots injury report. Running back Rhamondre Stevenson and center David Andrews are no longer listed after getting rest days on Wednesday.
As for Seattle, they were without multiple key offensive players for the second day in a row. Running back Kenneth Walker (oblique) and right tackle George Fant (knee) were both out again, a strong sign neither will play on Sunday. Walker was a crucial part of the Seahawks’ offense in Week 1, and Fant helped anchor what is a banged-up offensive line. Guards Laken Tomlinson (ankle) and Anthony Bradford (knee) are both listed on the injury report as well, as full participants.
Seattle also had a few other starters limited for the second day in a row. Wide receiver Tyler Lockett (thigh), linebacker Jerome Baker, and cornerbacks Riq Woolen (hamstring) and Tre Brown (quad) were all limited for the second day in a row.
