Jonathan Jones: Jerod Mayo has laid down the law
On Thursday’s edition of Zolak & Bertrand, Patriots cornerback Jonathan Jones explained how Jerod Mayo has laid down the lawn during training camp.
Mayo does a good job bringing the energy…
Marc Bertrand:
Jonathan you’ve been here for a while, so you’ve been through this before, but everyone keeps making the case that things are very different now with Jerod Mayo. Is it that different? Does it feel a lot different to you or is it just feel like coming and doing the same thing you been doing as a Patriot?
Jonathan Jones:
I mean football is football from that aspect, but the energy you know, Mayo does a good job of bringing the energy a lot of times for some of the younger guys. They enjoy that. The energy is different. You know, I can attest to that, but football is football, man. We come out here, you work hard and no matter where you’re at, that’s what football is going to be.
Marc Bertrand:
Has he chewed anybody out yet?
Jonathan Jones:
Man, he’s laid down the law, man. He’s let guys know there’s a standard that we’re playing too and you have to follow us and and meet us at that standard. We’re not gonna come down from it.
Scott Zolak:
It’s good to have Matt Judon back out there today?
Jonathan Jones:
Yeah, I mean it’s good to have everyone out there, you know, flying around, making plays. That’s always good.
Marc Bertrand:
No running after practice today, so, congrats on that.
Jonathan Jones:
We’ll take it. Take this moral victory.
