The Sun Belt conference is full of action and is loaded at the top. Teams in the middle have a shot to climb up and surprise while the teams at the bottom should struggle again this season. Appalachian State is the favorite and has a very balanced team. Texas State has the best offense and the most exciting team in the conference. James Madison is officially bowl eligible but going through some transition while Louisiana has a shot to win the west. Troy has been one of the best teams over the last few years but should take a step back. Marshall and Coastal Carolina have made it to bowls but in transition.
