The New England Patriots announced their offseason award winners, highlighting those who stood out during spring practices.

While the New England Patriots are onto the second week of training camp, the organization announced the winners from the team's offseason program (ex. spring practices) on Monday morning. According to the team website, offseason award winners "were selected for demonstrating consistency, a positive attitude, showing improvement and motivating others this spring."

The list of offseason award winners includes some expected names, like multi-time captains center David Andrews, linebacker Ja'Whaun Bentley, and defensive lineman Deatrich Wise. 2023 captain tight end Hunter Henry is also on the list, as is breakout safety Jabrill Peppers.

They're joined by some newer members of the Patriots. Recent draft picks wide receiver DeMario Douglas, cornerback Christian Gonzalez, and defensive end Keion White received honors as well.

A few first-year Patriots also got the nod. Free agent signings quarterback Jacoby Brissett, offensive lineman Nick Leverett, and wide receiver K.J. Osborn made the list. Linebacker Raekwon McMillan and special teamer Brenden Schooler round out the list.

Being a Patriots offseason award winner comes with new perks under first-year head coach Jerod Mayo. According to Patriots.com, "in addition to contributing to the daily practice music playlist, the offseason award winners will get a golf cart ride to and from the training camp fields, one custom meal cooked by the team chef and their photos displayed inside the team facilities."

While some of these 13 players appear to be roster locks, others are viewed as being more on the bubble through the first week of training camp. However, we now know they got off to a strong start this spring, which should help their case.
