When the 2024-25 NHL season gets underway a few teams in the NHL will be sporting new looks (or going back to old looks). Here’s a look at who’ll be changing their looks on the ice in the NHL.
ANAHEIM DUCKS – The Anaheim Ducks are FINALLY ditching the webbed “D” look and going back to the Mighty Ducks look for the 2024-25 season. The Ducks webbed “D” look was one of the worst looks in the NHL. Bringing back the Mighty Ducks look with a modern touch was a terrific move by the organization.
BOSTON BRUINS – I will never stop talking about the Bruins leaving their Centennial look behind. They need to stick with the design. I’ll start by saying they would NEED to get rid of the Centennial gold (obviously!) and they would have to clean up the striping on the arms. But they should be sticking to this look! The Centennial spoked-B mixes a touch of the old with a touch of the modern one. This look with the normal black and gold color scheme would be so much better than the current look!
LOS ANGELES KINGS – Much like their southern California counterparts, the Kings are abandoning their look to go back to a look they had in the 90’s. This look for the Kings was kind of boring and another one that was low on my list. I don’t love the new look too much, but it’s at least better than this look.
ARIZONA COYOTES – We are losing a top-10 jersey in the NHL due to the Coyotes moving out of Arizona. The Kachina look is one of the best jerseys in the NHL. If Arizona ever gets a hockey team again this has to be brought back. The Utah Hockey Club will have an entirely new look and color scheme when they hit the ice in October.
