The New England Patriots continue to get their draft pick signings done: they've agreed to a new rookie contract with offensive lineman Caedan Wallace.

New England originally drafted Wallace with the 68th overall pick in the third round of the 2024 NFL Draft in April. Wallace, 24, played five seasons at Penn State, starting all 13 games at right tackle in 2023. He allowed just one sack in 359 pass blocking snaps.

Despite playing right tackle for the Nittany Lions, Wallace is likely considered a candidate to play left tackle for the Patriots, considering that the team has Mike Onwenu entrenched as the starter on the right side. However, veteran free-agent addition Chukwuma Okorafor appears to be in the lead to be the team's starting left tackle so far in off-season workouts.

The Pats recently got their most important - and most expensive - rookie signing done last week, with the completion of quarterback Drake Maye's first contract. They now have just two rookies left to sign: second-round wide receiver Ja'Lynn Polk, and fourth-round offensive lineman Layden Robinson.

We'll be getting another close look at all the Patriots' offensive rookies at the next open OTA practice, which takes place Tuesday at Gillette Stadium. The practice will be closed to the public.
