Linus Ullmark is The Peterson School’s Hardest Working Player of the Week
Speaking after Saturday’s win over the Pittsburgh Penguins, and with a much lighter air about him, Boston Bruins goaltender Linus Ullmark couldn’t lie. A week of trade rumors certainly weighed on his mind.
But he didn’t allow the rumors and rumblings lead to a dip in his play, either, as Ullmark was more than solid, and did enough to earn the nod as last week’s “Hardest Working Player of the Week” nod, as brought to you by The Peterson School.
In goal for two starts, Ullmark posted a 1-0-1 record, but stopped all but three of the 65 shots he faced over that span, good for a .954 save percentage. The efforts came against two of the better scoring offenses in the league, too, with a 24-of-26 performance against the Oilers before a 38-of-39 effort against the Penguins last Saturday.

Ullmark’s Saturday performance against Pittsburgh was even better than the stat line looked, too, as the Bruins struggled to find their game early and had to rely on Ullmark for some big-time stops.
Speaking after the win, Bruins head coach Jim Montgomery said that Ullmark was Boston’s best player throughout the afternoon, and went out of his way to say that he was happy he’s still with the Bruins.
The Hardest Working Player of the Week is sponsored by The Peterson School. The Peterson School is now enrolling for their spring semester in Woburn, Westwood, Worcester, and Haverhill. To learn more, visit petersonschool.com.
