Toucher & Hardy: Squatters seek revenge on bat-weilding neighbor
On today’s edition of ‘News You Can Use’ (working title): Squatters seek revenge on neighbor who chased them with a baseball bat.
In an unexpected twist, squatters have reportedly returned to an abandoned home in a historic Las Vegas neighborhood, just days after a vigilant neighbor used a baseball bat to chase them away. Despite Clark County shutting off utilities and taking action against the squatters, the situation has taken a concerning turn.
A concerned neighbor informed KTNV that a U-Haul was spotted at the property a day after the county’s intervention. Attempting to capture evidence of the returning squatters, the neighbor found himself in a tense encounter as one of them chased him down, nearly breaking into his residence.
WATCH HERE:
The abandoned home, once owned by 1960s singer Mel Carter, has been a source of frustration for the community. The original homeowner lost the property in November, and since then, it has changed hands multiple times, most recently belonging to a Dallas-based bank.
Neighbors, tired of the constant influx of squatters, had previously contacted authorities and even resorted to a makeshift vigilante approach, with one neighbor using a baseball bat to drive the squatters away. However, the return of squatters has left the community puzzled and concerned about the security of their neighborhood.

The definitive list of the best subs available at Market Basket
Who can resist the allure of lists? At 98.5 The Sports Hub, your ultimate destination for all things Boston sports – the Bruins, Celtics, Patriots, and the New England Revolution – we take lists to a whole new level. But we don’t simply call them “lists”; instead, we refer to them by their proper name: “listicles.”
Now, what’s the true essence of a listicle, you might ask? A listicle is more than just a list; it’s an online article format that capitalizes on the power of lists. Combining the words “list” and “article,” this dynamic format is celebrated for its user-friendly structure, which has become a sensation across the digital realm.
Each listicle starts with an attention-grabbing title that introduces the topic. It’s followed by a carefully arranged list of points with numbers or bullets, diving into the subject. These points often come with short descriptions, explanations, or catchy titles and images. Listicles are like magic – they share info, tips, insights, and even entertainment in a short form. This format lets readers quickly navigate and focus on what they’re interested in. Whether it’s “Top 10 Menu Items at Castle Island” or “5 Tips for Being More Productive,” listicles cover lots of topics while being easy to read and understand.
If it weren’t for listicles, I wouldn’t be able to share with you the most anticipated listicle ever constructed on the World Wide Web: The definitive list of subs from Market Basket.
