The regular season comes to an end with the NFL’s Week 18. There are a few games that have playoff implications with the big one on Sunday Night Football for the AFC Championship. Week 18 can be a tough week to bet with some teams having nothing to play for. There are a few teams that are in must win spots to make the playoffs or even have a chance. Per the Action Network, Historically, it has been profitable to fade teams who “need” to win at the end of the regular season. Since 1990, eliminated teams playing teams that need to win over the final two weeks of the regular season have gone 100-64-4 (61.0%) against the spread (ATS).
