Draymond Green Should Miss Celtics Game
The Golden State Warriors and Phoenix Suns will battle it out in the Western Conference this season. Draymond Green, just two weeks from returning from a 5-game suspension may be looking at another one soon. Green was ejected last night after a swing to the face of Jusef Nurkic while battling for position. The play was immediately called a foul and an ejection.
Green will face a fine and another suspension, the question is for how long. This could impact the Celtics as they go on a west coast trip next week and will play in Golden State next Tuesday. Green’s upcoming suspension should make his status for that game unavailable. The Warriors are struggling this season currently in 11th place in the west with an aging roster. Losing green for even more games will not help Golden State.
The NBA specifically cited Green’s “history of unsportsmanlike acts” when announcing the following five-game suspension, and will likely do the same as the deliberate on his next punishment.Green has been ejected three times this season. Nurkic after the game had comments below regarding Green and how he may need help.
Stephen A Smith followed up regarding the comments from Nurkic and thinks Green may have an issue. Implying this is the worst thing that could happen to him.
The Celtics came away with a 120-113 win over Cleveland last night. Jayson Tatum and Jaylen Brown each had 25 points in the win. Kristaps Porzingis chipped in with 21 points and 10 rebounds. The teams will meet again on Thursday. The green will play Orlando twice before heading out west next week that begins in Golden State.
